DATA DOCUMENTATION

Know What Every Field Means.

BulkAmmoFinder is a dated catalog dataset, not a live market feed. These notes define the fields, freshness rules and limitations so readers can interpret the records correctly.

FIELD

Observed price

The package price recorded when the catalog entry was reviewed. It can become stale and should never be read as a live quote.

FIELD

Round count

The number of cartridges represented by the package record when that count is explicit enough to normalize.

DERIVED

Observed CPR

Observed package price divided by known round count. Shipping, taxes and transfer-related fees are not included.

FIELD

Condition

Factory-new versus remanufactured is kept explicit where the source record makes the distinction.

FIELD

Projectile / case material

Structured labels copied or normalized from catalog descriptions. Missing values remain missing rather than guessed.

QUALITY

Freshness

A date tells you when the site last checked a record. Older observations remain useful as reference history but not as current pricing.

INTERPRETATION RULE

Missing data is not zero.

If a package lacks a reliable round count or price observation, the site should not manufacture a CPR. “Price check required” is more honest than a false comparison.

1.Keep source wording where it matters.
2.Normalize only obvious field equivalents.
3.Date observations prominently.
4.Do not imply multi-retailer coverage when there is one partner.

This page is the data dictionary. The methodology page explains what the site currently covers, what it does not cover, and how dated observations are used.
